Christmas Service at Ararat Home

On Sunday, January 5, 2014, elderly residents of Ararat Home in Mission Hills had the opportunity to partake in Christmas festivities as H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, and clergy members visited and conducted Christmas service.

The day began in the nursing facility dining room with Very Rev. Fr. Muron Aznikian conveying New Year and Christmas well wishes to the administration, staff, and residents.  The Prelate then conveyed his blessings and wishes and conducted the blessing of water.  After the service, the residents received Holy Communion.  Board of Trustees Chair Mr. Joseph Kanimian thanked the Prelate and clergy for the visit and for their care and support of Ararat Home and its residents.

Divine Liturgy was then celebrated at the Chapel by Archpriest Fr. Nareg Pehlivanian, who also delivered the sermon.  The Prelate conducted the blessing of water at the conclusion of the service.

The visit concluded with a luncheon hosted by the administration.
