Los Angeles City Council Commemorates the 102nd Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide


By the invitation of Los Angeles City Councilmember Paul Krekorian, on Friday, April 28, 2017, clergy, community leaders and members joined elected officials at Los Angeles City Hall for a special presentation in commemoration of the 102nd anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, during which the makers of The Promise were honored. Very Rev. Fr. Torkom Donoyan and Archpriest Fr. Vazken Atmajian participated on behalf of H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate.

The program included remarks by Mayor Eric Garcetti, Councilman Paul Krekorian, singer-songwriter Serj Tankian, and Co-Producer of The Promise, Dr. Eric Esrailian.
