Prelate Attends Events in Honor of Maronite Archbishop of Beirut

By the invitation of the Board of Directors of Mary Mother of Wisdom – Sagesse Foundation, on Friday, November 17, 2017, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, attended a gala celebrating the Foundation’s launch which was held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel under the patronage of His Excellency Monsignor Boulos Matar, Archbishop of the Maronite Archdiocese of Beirut. His Excellency Bishop Elias Zaidan, Eparch of Our Lady of Lebanon Eparchy, and the Honorable Ambassador Johnny Ibrahim, Consul General of Lebanon in Los Angeles, and his wife Maya were among the honored guests in attendance. The Prelate was accompanied by Archpriest Fr. Razmig Khatchadourian.

Remarks were delivered by Bishop Zaida, Ambassador Ibrahim, and Sagesse Foundation President Mr. Joseph Karaki, all of whom highlighted the Foundation’s mission for the welfare and advancement of Lebanon’s younger generations. The Foundation was established to assist students of Sagesse schools in Lebanon and to strengthen cooperation and collaboration between Lebanese expatriates and Lebanese residing in Lebanon. The Foundation will provide financial aid to needy students and will assist schools by providing the latest technological teaching tools from the US to Lebanon and exchanging knowledge, expertise and culture between students in both countries.

On Sunday, November 19, by the invitation of Ambassador Ibrahim and Mrs. Maya Ibrahim, the Prelate attended a dinner in honor of Archbishop Boulos Matar. Ambassador Ibrahim extended greeted Archbishop Matar, extolled his vast service, and wished him all the best in his mission.Archbishop Matar in return thanked the Ambassador for the warm welcome and reception. The Prelate expressed thanks for the reception and conveyed his well wishes to Archbishop Matar.
