His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians, is currently on a Pontifical visit to the Western United States. Upon the invitation of H.E. Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, and accompanying clergy members participated in various events.
On the afternoon of Thursday, October 26, 2017, His Holiness presided over the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the new wing of Ararat Home Assisted Living Facility in Mission Hills. On behalf of the Prelate, Very Rev. Fr. Torkom Donoyan, Vicar General, and Archpriest Fr. Nareg Pehlivanian participated. The day began with a luncheon, followed by the ribbon-cutting ceremony, and concluded with a visit to Nursing Facility residents.
On Thursday evening, the Prelate participated in the “Hrashapar” welcome for His Holiness at St. Leon Cathedral in Burbank.
On Friday morning, a student gathering was held at the Diocese, in which students of Prelacy Schools participated. The Prelate attended, accompanied by Very Rev. Fr. Torkom Donoyan and Archpriest Fr. Nareg Pehlivanian.
On Sunday, October 29, the Prelate will participate in Pontifical Divine Liturgy and the blessing of madagh also at St. Leon Cathedral, and in the evening will attend a banquet in honor of His Holiness at Taglyan Hall in Hollywood. Very Rev. Fr. Torkom Donoyan and clergy members will accompany His Eminence.
