Prelate Pays Congratulatory Visit to Lebanese Consul General


On Wednesday, November 16, 2016, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, paid a congratulatory visit to Lebanese Consul General Johnny Ibrahim on the occasion of the General Michel Aoun’s election as President on October 31st. His Eminence had, at the time, sent a congratulatory letter to the Consul General on this occasion. The Prelate was joined by Archpriest Fr. Nareg Pehlivanian, Archpriest Fr. Vazken Atmajian, and former Executive Council member and Building and Real Property Committee Chair Mr. Vahan Bezdikian.

The Prelate congratulated the election of Gen. Michel Aoun as President, as well as the appointment of Saad Hariri as Prime Minister. A conversation followed on issues concerning Lebanon and the Middle East, with an emphasis on the importance of peaceful coexistence among all the peoples of the Middle East. On behalf of the Western Prelacy family, the Prelate also inscribed his well wishes in the Consulate’s congratulatory book.

On Saturday, November 19, the Prelate will attend a reception at the “Riviera Club” hosted by the Consul General celebrating the 73rd anniversary of the independence of Lebanon.
