U.S. Postal Service Releases Commemorative Stamps in Honor of Vocal Legend Ellada Chakhoyan

On Tuesday, May 28, 2019, a special event was held at Allegro Restaurant in Glendale on the release of commemorative postal stamps honoring vocal legend and Distinguished Honorary Artist of Armenia Ellada Chakhoyan’s 45-year long career as a world-renowned soprano. The event was organized by the VM Foundation and “Arpa” Armenian Philatelic Association.

Rev. Fr. Ghevont Kirazian attended and, on behalf of the Prelate, presented a certificate of recognition to Ms. Chakhoyan in which His Eminence congratulated the honoree on the well-deserved honor and for a lifetime of outstanding contributions to music, and wished her many more healthy years to continue to touch hearts and souls with her God-given skills and artistry.

On Friday, May 24, Ms. Chakhoyan visited the Prelacy where she met with the Prelate and presented him with a stamp.
