EPISCOPAL DIVINE LITURGY AND BLESSING OF MADAGH ON THE 53RD ANNIVERSARY OF HOLY MARTYRS CHURCH IN ENCINO
This weekend, Holy Martyrs Church of Encino parish family will celebrate the 53rd anniversary of the consecration of the church.
To commemorate this anniversary, on Sunday, October 30, 2016, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, will celebrate Divine Liturgy and deliver the sermon, and conduct the blessing of madagh at Holy Martyrs Church. On Friday, October 28, the Prelate will attend the 53rd anniversary dinner-dance at “Avedissian” Hall, organized by the Parish Pastor, Board of Trustees, Ladies Guild, and 53rd Anniversary Committee.
The Board of Trustees of St. Sarkis Church of Pasadena has also organized its annual dinner-dance, which the Prelate will attend on Saturday, October 29 at the Great Caesar Banquet Hall

CELEBRATION OF JACQUES HAGOPIAN’S 100TH BIRTHDAY AND 80-YEARS OF LITERARY CONTRIBUTIONS
On Sunday, October 30, a momentous event will be held celebrating renowned poet and educator Jacques Hagopian’s 100th birthday and 80 years of service and contributions to Armenian poetry and literature. The celebration, at Glendale Presbyterian Church (125 S. Louise St.), is being held under the patronage of the Consulate General of Armenia in Los Angeles, under the auspices of the Western Prelacy, Western Diocese, Armenian Catholic Exarchate, and the Armenian Evangelical Union of North America, and is organized by Mashdots College, in conjunction with a number of community organizations.
We invite our community to attend this historic and joyous event celebrating one of our most prolific writers and educators of modern times. The event begins at 6:00 p.m.
