Western Prelacy Launches “Naregatsi” Spiritual Curriculum

We are pleased to announce that under the auspices of H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, the Western Prelacy has launched the “Naregatsi” Spiritual Curriculum with the aim of more closely familiarizing our deacons, altar servers, religion and Sunday School teachers, youth and our faithful in general with the history, theology, rituals, and customs of our Church as well as the tenets of our faith through the Bible and writings of our church fathers.

The program will run one year and classes will be held at St. Mary’s Church in Glendale. The first class will be held on Friday, July 6, 2018, from 7:00-9:00 p.m., and every Friday thereafter.

The first three months will focus on two topics; the history of the Armenian Church and introduction to hymns.

Classes will be taught by H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Vicar General and Director of the Spiritual Curriculum.

Participation is free and open to all.

Participants will take an oral or written exam following each three-month quarter and will receive a certificate at the end of the program.

To register or for further information please contact St. Mary’s Church at 818-244-2402 or the Western Prelacy office at 818-248-7737 or christianeducation@westernprelacy.org.
