PRELATE TO CELEBRATE EASTER DIVINE LITURGY AT HOLY MARTYRS CHURCH IN ENCINO

On Sunday, April 16, 2017, all of Christendom will celebrate the greatest miracle in history, the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, will celebrate Divine Liturgy and deliver his Easter message at Holy Martyrs Church in Encino. Very Rev. Fr. Torkom Donoyan will celebrate Easter at St. Mary’s Church in Glendale, and Very Rev. Fr. Vache Balekjian will be at St. Sarkis Church in Pasadena.
On Monday, April 17, at 10:00 a.m., the Prelate and clergy will gather at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills “Hall of Liberty” and Forest Lawn Glendale “Church of the Recessional” for requiem service on Easter Memorial Day.
On Tuesday, April 18, the Prelate and clergy members will visit Ararat Home in Mission Hills to conduct services and convey their Easter blessings and well wishes to the administration, faculty, and residents. The Easter celebration will begin with a prayer service at the Skilled Nursing Facility at 10:00 a.m. Divine Liturgy will follow at the Sheen Memorial Chapel at 10:45 a.m. celebrated by Very Rev. Fr. Vache Balekjian, who will also deliver the sermon. The home blessing service will be conducted at the Assisted Living Facility at 11:45 a.m., after which the clergy will be hosted to a luncheon by the administration.
PRELATE EXPRESSES CONDOLENCES ON PALM SUNDAY CHURCH BOMBINGS IN EGYPT
Following news of the horrific church bombings in Egypt which claimed the lives of fifty individuals and injured over one hundred, the Prelate conveyed his deepest condolences to His Grace Bishop Serapion, head of the Coptic Orthodox Diocese of Los Angeles, Southern California, and Hawaii, on the despicable attacks on innocent faithful celebrating Palm Sunday and expressed solidarity with the Coptic Orthodox community.
