ST. MARY’S CHURCH OF GLENDALE TO CELEBRATE 40TH ANNIVERSARY

GlendaleChurchThis weekend, St. Mary’s Church of Glendale will celebrate the 40th anniversary of its establishment. The celebration will begin with a banquet to be held on the evening of Saturday, November 14, 2015, at the Glendale Hilton presided over by H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate.

On Sunday, November 15, the Prelate will celebrate Divine Liturgy and deliver the sermon at St. Mary’s. During the service, His Eminence will conduct the blessing and consecration of three new large crosses to be placed atop the church.

ARMENIAN GENOCIDE MEMORIAL MONUMENT TO BE INAUGURATED IN LAS VEGAS

Las-Vegas-MonumentOn Saturday, November 14, 2015, the inauguration of the newly constructed Armenian Genocide Memorial Monument will take place at Sunset Park in Las Vegas beginning at 10:00 a.m. The project is the initiative of the Armenian-American Cultural Society of Las Vegas, in conjunction with local Armenian churches and community organizations.

H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, will participate in the unveiling and blessing ceremony and will convey his message on the occasion. Officials from the Republics of Armenia and Lebanon, Nevada State Congressional representatives and local city officials will be participating in the ceremony.

The Prelate will arrive in Las Vegas on Friday, November 13, where in the evening he will join the St. Garabed Church parish community at their weekly social gathering.
