On Sunday, June 12, 2022, H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Prelate, presided over the Divine Liturgy at St. Garabed Armenian Mother Church in Hollywood, during which he delivered the sermon and blessed the Icons, filling the hearts of those present with Christian piety. In attendance were members of the Executive Council and the families of the icons donors. The two images depicting St. Michael the Archangel and St. Sarkis and his son Mardiros were donated by Deacon Manuk Chulian and the image depicting St. Raphael the Archangel was donated by Deacon Suren Hazarian.
In his message, the Prelate first highly commended the pastor of the church, Archpriest Fr. Viken Vassilian, the Board of Trustees, the Deacons, the choir and all the faithful who serve for the betterment and enlightenment of St. Garabed Armenian Mother Church.
The Prelate stated; “During the blessing of the icons, we beseeched the Lord to keep us all in His heavenly grace, and for the icons to become a positive presence to all who open their lips before them in prayer and all the eyes that look at them with faith.”
