On Friday, July 7, 2023, H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Prelate, welcomed the Dr. Houri Berberian, Head of Armenian Studies at UC Irvine to the Prelacy. During the meeting, important issues were discussed; including the importance of the Armenian Studies program at the University.
In view of the cooperation between the Department of Armenian Studies at UC Irvine and the Western Prelacy, the Prelate appealed the faithful to stand in support of the Armenian studies champions operating in various universities, emphasizing that the mission of Armenian studies in the universities is to prepare generations with resources for the protection of the rights of Armenia, Artsakh, the Diaspora and the entire Armenian people. He wished success to the Department of Armenian Studies at UC Irvine and as a kind gesture towards the mission of the department, the Prelate made a financial donation.
