On Thursday, May 21, 2020, the feast of the Ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ was celebrated at St. Mary’s Church with Divine Liturgy presided by H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, and with the participation of clergy members.
Very Rev. Fr. Muron Aznikian celebrated Divine Liturgy and delivered the sermon.
The hymn dedicate to the feast of Ascension was sung prior to the sermon.
In his sermon, Fr. Muron gave an overview of the Biblical account of the Ascension and how the apostles, obeying His command, afterward preached His Word to all nations. He added that Christ’s bodily ascension is a promise to all Christians that those who believe in the Risen Christ will also be resurrected and inherit the kingdom.
