House of Lebanon Cultural Center Grand Opening Ceremony

On Saturday, October 5, 2019, the grand opening of the House of Lebanon Cultural Center was held in Los Angeles. Participating in the ceremony were Ambassador Gabriel Issa, Consul General Mirna Khawly, dignitaries, Lebanese American Foundation members, and representatives of the Lebanese and Armenian communities. H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, attended and conveyed his blessings and congratulations. He was accompanied by Archpriest Fr. Razmig Khatchadourian.

The program began with the national anthems followed by welcoming remarks by grand opening ceremony co-chairs Hazem Haddad and Wafa Hoballah. The evening’s MC’s were Alexandra Khoury and Harout Keuroghlian. Subsequent remarks were delivered by the Honorable Judge James Kaddo, House of Lebanon Co-Chairs Dr. Mohamed Ahmar and Dr. Paul Wakim, Young Lebanese Board members Alex Fadil and Mary Chammas, Deputy Mayor of International Affairs Ambassador Nina Hachigian, and House of Lebanon President Joseph Karaki. Consul General Mirna Khawly and Ambasador Gabriel Issa delivered the closing messages. The program also included an award presentation to Lourdes Saab, Chief of Protocol at the County of Los Angeles, and cultural performances.
