We hereby announce to our faithful that in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, on July 18, 2015, His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia, will conduct the blessing of Holy Muron in Bikfaya, Lebanon. To facilitate the participation of our faithful in this historic commemoration, we have organized a pilgrimage to Lebanon from July 13 -23. The schedule of events is as follows:
– On the morning of Saturday, July 18, opening of the Genocide and Orphans Museum at the Bird’s Nest Orphanage in Byblos.
– On the evening of July 18, blessing of Muron in the courtyard of the Genocide memorial in Bikfaya
– On the morning of Sunday, July 19, Divine Liturgy at St. Gregory the Illuminator Mother Cathedral in Antelias, during which the blessing of water will be conducted with the newly blessed Muron, followed by an Ecumenical prayer service at the memorial monument.
– On the evening of July 19, a cultural program in Bikfaya.
Also, a concert by the “Shnorhali” Choir, the opening of a new Armenian school in Bourj Hammoud, and more.
