Prelate Welcomes Sergeant Juan Martinez of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department


On Wednesday, August 12, 2015, Sergeant Juan Martinez, head of the Religious and Volunteer Services department of the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department, visited the Prelacy where he had a meeting with H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate. Very Rev. Fr. Boghos Tinkjian joined in the meeting, as did Rev. Fr. Ashod Kambourian and Chaplain Rafi Garabedian, both of whom are involved in the Prelacy prison ministry through the L.

The discussion centered on the importance of providing religious services to assist in the spiritual development and rehabilitation of inmates. Sergeant Martinez commended the Prelacy prison ministry program, through which regular visits and special services take place within a number of jails in and around the Los Angeles area.
