First Grade Students from the Vahan & Anoush Chamlian Armenian School Honored the Memory of the Martyrs of the Armenian Genocide

On Friday, April 22, 2022, H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Prelate, welcomed 100 students from Vahan & Anoush Chamlian Armenian school, under the leadership of Principal Dr. Talin Kargodorian and teachers. The students placed flowers in front of the Genocide Memorial located at the entrance of the Prelacy, and then performed a short program in the “Dikran and Zarouhi Der Ghazarian hall,” singing patriotic songs in memory of the martyrs of the Armenian Genocide. Thereafter the students presented a memorial gift to Bishop Donoyan, bearing their fingerprints.

The Prelate, in turn, praised the visit of the young Armenian students and their performance, as well as the utmost care shown by the principal, teacher and parent, especially in the upbringing of the new generation of children. The Prelate also presented the students with gifts.
