NAME DAY CELEBRATION AND BLESSING OF MADAGH AT ST. GARABED CHURCH OF HOLLYWOOD

St-john-the-baptistOn Saturday, January 14, 2017, the Armenian Apostolic Church will commemorate the Feast of the birth of St. John the Forerunner. The feast marks the name-day of St. Garabed Churches in Hollywood and Las Vegas.

On this occasion, the Prelate will celebrate Divine Liturgy, deliver the sermon, and conduct the blessing of madagh at St. Garabed Church in Hollywood.

Following the service, the annual luncheon will take place at “Karapetian” Hall, during which traditionally a member of the parish community is recognized for his or her service. This year’s, Mr. Tavit Yeretsian will be honored for his service within the “Karekin Njteh” Gomideh and other community organizations.

HOMENETMEN NEW YEAR AND CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION

HMEMChristmas1On Thursday, January 12, a New Year and Christmas celebration hosted by the Homenetmen Western Region Executive was held at Phoenicia Restaurant in Glendale with the participation of the newly elected board members of local chapters, Regional Executive Committees, and Navasartian Games honorary presidents.

Archpriest Fr. Vazken Atmajian attended on behalf of the Prelate and conveyed his blessings and wishes for a happy and prosperous year.
