PRELATE TO CELEBRATE DIVINE LITURGY AND PRESIDE OVER ANNUAL BANQUET AT ST. GREGORY CHURCH IN SAN FRANCISCO

On Sunday, October 5, the Prelate will celebrate Divine Liturgy and deliver the sermon at St. Gregory the Illuminator Church in San Francisco.

On Saturday evening, the Prelate will preside over the Church annual banquet organized by the Pastor, Board of Trustees, and Ladies Auxiliary, which will be held at Saroyan Hall of the Khachaturian Armenian Community.

This year’s banquet will honor Archpriest Fr. Nareg Shrikian and Mr. Khajag Sarkissian for their service and contributions to the community.

By the ordinance of the Prelate, on Sunday, October 5, H.G. Bishop Krikor Chiftjian, Prelate of the Diocese of Azerbaijan, will deliver the sermon at Holy Martyrs Church in Encino. Last Sunday, H.E. Archbishop Gomidas Ohanian, Dean of the Venezuela Armenian community, delivered the sermon at St. Mary’s Church in Glendale. Both are currently visiting our Prelacy.

“YEAR OF THE ELDER” LECTURE-LUNCHEON TO BE HELD AT THE PRELACY

On Thursday, October 9, a lecture-luncheon dedicated to the “Year of the Elder” will be held at the Prelacy “Dikran and Zarouhie Der Ghazarian” Hall. The event is being held under the auspices of the Prelate and is organized by the Prelacy Ladies Auxiliary.

The keynote speaker is prominent educator Ms. Ani Berberian. Chamian School students will present a cultural program.

The luncheon begins at 11:30 a.m.

PRELATE ATTENDS USC 10TH ANNIVERSARY GALA BANQUET

USC-EventOn Sunday, September 28, a Gala Banquet celebrating the 10th anniversary of the USC Institute of Armenian Studies was held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The event, organized by the USC College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences, in collaboration with the Institute of Armenian Studies Leadership Council, honored USC President C.L. Max Nikias for championing the Institute of Armenian Studies.

The Prelate attended and conveyed his congratulations to Mr. Nikias and to the members and friends of the USC Institute of Armenian Studies.
