PRELATE TRAVELS TO ARMENIA TO REPRESENT HIS HOLINESS ARAM I AT MURON BLESSING

Earlier this week, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, departed for Armenia to participate in the blessing of Holy Muron to be conducted in Etchmiadzin on Sunday, September 27, 2015. The Prelate, alongside H.E. Archbishop Shahan Sarkissian, Prelate of Aleppo, has been assigned to represent His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia, at the ceremony.

The ceremony will be preceded by an ecumenical gathering and prayer service to be held on Saturday, September 26. The Muron blessing will be conducted during Divine Liturgy on Sunday, September 27. The following day will include a visit to the Dzidzernagapert Armenian Genocide memorial, the opening of the Karekin I educational center, consecration of a cross-stone, and concert.

On Thursday, September 24, the two Prelates represented His Holiness at the consecration of Holy Martyrs Armenian Catholic Church in Gyumri and conveyed the congratulations and well wishes of our Pontiff to the Armenian Catholic community.
