On Sunday, December 17, 2023, H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Prelate of the Western Prelacy of the United States, presided over the Divine Liturgy at St. Archangel Armenian Church in Crescenta Valley. During his sermon, H.G. Bishop Donoyan emphasized the power of faith and highlighted its strong influence. He mentioned that faith is so powerful that according to the scriptures, an individual can forgive their fellow human beings seventy-seven times on seven different occasions and reasons. H.G. Bishop Donoyan extended his heartfelt greetings and well wishes for a prosperous New Year and a joyous Christmas to all those present.
Mr. Mher Der Ohanessian, Vice-Chairperson of the Western Prelacy’s Executive Council, along with local delegates, members of the Board of Trustees, benefactors, friends, and a large crowd of worshipers were present at the Divine Liturgy.
Rev. Fr. Ghevont Kirazian, Pastor of St. Archangel Armenian Church celebrated the Divine Liturgy and thanked H.G. Bishop Donoyan for visiting the church and delivering his sermon. Subsequently, H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan presided over a special requiem ceremony in remembrance of the departed members, benefactors, and friends of St. Archangel Armenian Church, then he proceeded to the courtyard where he blessed the offering. H.G. Bishop Donoyan sincerely expressed his appreciation and congratulated the parishioners and community members for their contributions and dedication in establishing St. Archangel Armenian Church in the Crescenta Valley region, which has fulfilled a long-standing communal dream.
