– STUDENTS WILL PROVIDE PRESENTS TO FELLOW STUDENTS IN LEILAVAN (LEBANON)
On Friday, December 8, 2023, H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Prelate of the Western Prelacy of the United States, accompanied by Very Rev. Fr. Zareh Sarkissian, Dean of St. Mary’s Church of Glendale, paid a visit to Vahan and Anoush Chamlian Armenian School and participated in a festive holiday gathering, organized specifically for this occasion.
Following the gathering, H.G. Bishop Donoyan proceeded to visit the school’s classrooms, where he engaged in personal conversations with the students, sang Christmas carols and recitations with them, and answered their questions.
Reflecting on his visit to V. and A. Chamlian Armenian School, H.G. Bishop Donoyan shared the following, “It is with great appreciation, that we greet the principal of the school, Dr. Talin Kargodorian, along with the teachers and staff, who with their knowledge, sincere efforts and contemporary pedagogical methods, not only preserve our mother tongue and ensure that it remains alive in our students, but also cultivate in our youth love and enthusiasm for the Armenian culture, while instilling in them our national and Armenian values.”
We are pleased to announce that following H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan’s proposal, Vahan and Anoush Chamlian Armenian School students will share a portion of their New Year’s presents with their peers in the Leilavan region of Lebanon.
