High School Students Of Prelacy Armenian Schools Gather For A Unique Christmas Concert To Celebrate The New Year And Christmas

On Thursday, December 14, 2023, by the initiative and invitation of H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Prelate of the Western Prelacy, High School students of Prelacy Armenian Schools attended a unique Christmas concert, at St. Mary’s Armenian Church in Glendale, symbolizing the “Good Tidings of The Glorious Nativity” The Christmas concert, under the auspices of H.G. Bishop Donoyan, organized by the Western Prelacy and sponsored by “Satig Der Ohanessian” fund was also presented to the public a night before under the creative direction of tenor Berj Kirazian, a renowned artist from the Republic of Armenia, and featured professional musicians, singers, Hamazkayin’s “Nayirian” choir, and second grade students from Vahan and Anoush Chamlian Armenian School.

Mrs. Tamar Tufenkdjian, Board of Regents Armenian Department Director, greeted and extended a warm welcome to the students, and in her remarks emphasized the significance of having Armenian students participate in similar exceptional concerts.

The secondary grade students savored the experience of attending the “Good Tidings of The Glorious Nativity” concert. They actively engaged in the performances of songs they were already familiar with. With their enthusiastic applause, the attending students expressed their gratitude for this exceptional gift bestowed upon them by H.G. Bishop Donoyan on the occasion of the upcoming New Year and Christmas holidays.
