On Monday, January 29, 2024, H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Prelate of the Western Prelacy of the United States, accompanied by Archpriest Fr. Razmig Khatchadourian, visited the San Francisco community for a two-day visit, where he engaged in meetings and discussions with Church and community representatives.
On the morning of Tuesday, January 30, 2024, H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan, accompanied by Very Rev. Fr. Smpad Saboundjian, Pastor of St. Gregory Armenian Apostolic Church of San Francisco, and Archpriest Fr. Razmig Khatchadourian, paid a visit to Krouzian Zekarian Vasbouragan (KZV) Armenian School. Upon arrival, H.G. Bishop Donoyan was welcomed by Mrs. Grace Andonian, Principal of KZV Armenian School, Mr. Garbis Bezdjian, Prelacy Executive Council member, and Mr. Rostom Aintablian, Central Executive member. During the visit, H.G. Bishop Donoyan held a meeting with the representatives to discuss the implementation of future plans of KZV Armenian School, particularly regarding construction projects. Additionally, H.G. Bishop Donoyan held a separate meeting and engaged in discussions with the 8th-grade students of KZV Armenian School.
After the meeting with the students, H.G. Bishop Donoyan conveyed that “Our school plays a significant role in the lives of Armenians residing in San Francisco and neighboring communities serving as a radiating presence, which instills our national values and identity in the young generation, embodies the Christian spirit, and is a unique establishment which fosters the distinctive Mesrobian spirit. Supporting Armenian schools signifies safeguarding the continuity of our people and communities.”
