On the evening of Wednesday, November 11, 2020, H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Prelate, presided over a special morning vigil service which took place at 7pm, in the courtyard of St. Mary’s Church in Glendale. In attendance were clergy, deacons and limited number of parishioners.

During the service, the Prelate and clergy members beseeched the Lord through prayers and hymns, for His glorious light to shine down on the people of Armenia, Artakh and the Diaspora, and lead them to safety.

The Prelate stated during his message that having a morning service during the evening should bring hope to our faithful people, to petition for the souls of our deceased and bring consolation to the mothers who lost sons and daughters during the war, and for God to bestow healing onto those who are injured and sick.

Three patriotic songs were sung following the service. The first song “Gharapaghi Voghp” was sung to show support for Artsakh, the second song “Karahisar” was performed to show support to the soldier and finally the third song “Zartir Vortyag” was performed to show support to the unfailing love of a mother.

The evening came to a close by singing of the Armenian National Anthem and the Prelate’s benediction.
