Under the auspices of H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Prelate, On Sunday, February 5, 2023, Very Rev. Fr. Zareh Sarkissian, Dean of St. Mary’s Armenian Church, celebrated Divine Liturgy and the name day of St. Sarkis Church at St. Sarkis Church in Pasadena. Rev. Fr. Boghos Baltayan assisted on the Altar.
In attendance were regional delegates, members of the Board of Trustees and ladies guild, Mr. Sarkis Tatigian, member of the Executive Council, benefactors Mr. & Mrs. Sarkis and Suzanne Kitsinian, representatives of community organizations and the faithful.
During his sermon, Fr. Sarkissian referred to the love and devotion of St. Sarkis and his son Mardiros towards their Lord, which resulted in their martyrdom. He then urged those present to be strong in their faith and appreciated the readiness of the Armenian person to serve the Armenian Church.
At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, the blessing of madagh took place, which was followed by a luncheon.
