On Sunday, April 4, 2021, the Feast of the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ was celebrated within all churches of the Western Prelacy, where faithful parishioners received a gift of spiritual warmth which radiated from the true Light of the Risen Jesus.

H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Prelate, celebrated Easter Divine Liturgy and delivered his message at St. Mary’s Church in Glendale. By the invitation of the Prelate, high ranking Archbishops celebrated Easter Divine Liturgy in various churches within the Prelacy. (H.E. Archbishop Yeprem Tabakian at Holy Martyrs Church in Encino. H.E. Archbishop Gomidas Ohanian at Forty Martyrs Church in Orange County. H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian at St. Sarkis Church in Pasadena. H.E. Archbishop Krikor Chiftjian at St. Garabed Church in Hollywood.)

“Our Lord Jesus Christ rose from the dead. He is the greatest revolutionary in the world and the only way in which humanity will reach its salvation and eternal life. Today, with the resurrection of Jesus Christ, we are invited to see the resurrection of our inner life,” stated the Prelate, urging the children of the Armenian nation to open their hearts and accept the Risen Savior as the only path in our spiritual lives, especially for the Armenians facing various challenges throughout the world.

“For the betterment of our lives when should love each other, we can solve all kinds of difficulties facing our nation and homeland when we show more respect, tolerance and a spirit of mutuality to each other and put our national interests above our own” mentioned the Prelate. Emphasizing that “As long as we are together and are united, no force, no evil, no sin, no trials, nothing can separate us from each other. Today is the day for us to declare to the world that we are one, we are the same, we are all the children of the same nation, the same homeland and the same church. Let us never be divided, but let us unite fervently, so that Armenian Christianity strengthens, and with that strength we become a stronger existence in the world.”

The Prelate’s message ended with a heartfelt prayer, during which he and the faithful in attendance prayed to the Risen Savior, for the peaceful and secure existence of the Armenia-Artsakh homeland, for the strengthening of the Christian faith among the children of the nation, as well as perpetuating the festive atmosphere of the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ within the lives of the Armenians of the world.
