On Wednesday, March 15, 2023, H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Prelate, accompanied by Very Rev. Fr. Zareh Sarkissian, paid a visit to Ari Guiragos Minassian Armenian school in Orange County. The Prelate was welcomed by Rev. Fr. Karekin Bedourian, Pastor of Forty Martyrs Armenian Church, Mrs. Ani Sarkissian, Principal, Mr. Garo Madenlian, chairman of local ARF Armen Karo chapter, Mr. Hagop Badolian, member of the Board of Trustees and Mr. Koko Der Tavitian, Chair of the School Board.
At the entrance of the “Gugasian” Hall, Bishop Donoyan blessed the salt and bread which was followed by a program presented by the students. In his remarks, the Prelate highly commended the principal, teachers and students for their meticulous work and efforts to live the Armenian language, and then he visited the classrooms and was introduced to the day-to-day life anf the activities of students in the educational setting.
Evaluating his trip to Orange County, Bishop Donoyan noted that the region occupies a special place in the life of the Western Prelacy, with the Forty Martyrs Armenian Church, its parishioners, Ari Guiragos Minassian Armenian School, students, parents, community organizations, benefactors, friends and all the faithful.
