On Wednesday, March 15, 2023, H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Prelate, presided over the mid-lent service at Holy Cross Cathedral in Montebello. In attendance were Very Rev. Fr. Muron Aznikian, Dean of Holy Cross Cathedral, Very Rev. Fr. Zareh Sarkissian, Dean of St. Mary’s Armenian Church in Glendale, Rev. Fr. Ashod Kambourian, Pastor of Holy Cross Cathedral, members of the Holy Cross Cathedral large family, teachers accompanied by 7th and 8th grade students of Mesrobian Armenian School and the faithful.
Addressing his message to the students, the Bishop stressed the importance of purity of soul and self-examination through prayer, urging them to be more restrained and stay away from sin and temptation during this period of Great Lent, and invited those present to spread kindness and love throughout their lives.
