On Wednesday, March 17, 2021, H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Prelate, welcomed the Pastor of St. Gregory the Illuminator Church of San Francisco, Very Rev. Fr. Smpad Sabounjian and the Chair of the Board of Trustees Mr. Rosdom Aintablian. The meeting was later joined by the Chairman of the Executive Council, Mr. Vahe Hovaguimian.
The visitors first conveyed their best wishes to the Prelate and congratulated him on his election as the new Prelate of the Western Prelacy. Thereafter, they expressed their full support for the Prelate’s future endeavors and donated ten thousand dollars ($10,000.) Under the direction of the Prelate, the donated amount will be purposed for the training of Armenian clergy in the Western Prelacy.
After presenting the achievements within the Armenian community of San Francisco, the visitors also thanked Bishop Donoyan for his upcoming first Episcopal visit to the Armenian community of San Francisco on the weekend of March 20-21, 2021. In return, the Prelate thanked the visitors and praised their service to the enlightenment of the Armenian Church and the community.
