On Thursday, August 20, 2026, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian, Prelate of the Western Prelacy of the United States, presided over the opening ceremony of the newly constructed Balassanian Technology Lab and Classroom at Vahan & Anoush Chamlian Armenian School in La Crescenta. Joined by representatives of the benefactor Balassanian family, the Prelate cut the ceremonial ribbon, marking the official opening of the new facility.
Archbishop Khacherian extended his congratulations and best wishes to the school administration, faculty and staff, School Board, students, parents, and the Balassanian family on this meaningful occasion. He commended the Balassanian family for their generosity and commitment to the continued growth and advancement of Vahan & Anoush Chamlian Armenian School, noting that their support will further enhance the educational opportunities available to its students.
Concluding his remarks, the Prelate bestowed his fatherly blessings upon the Balassanian family, all benefactors of the school, those gathered for the ceremony, and the entire Chamlian School community.
