During a dinner held in his honor on the first evening of his pontifical visit to San Francisco, His Holiness Catholicos Aram I conferred high pontifical honors upon Mrs. Sossi Poladian and her son, Mr. Razmig Poladian, in recognition of their devoted service to the Armenian Church and nation.

His Holiness bestowed upon Mrs. Sossi Poladian the “Saint Mesrob Mashdots” Insignia in appreciation of her decades of dedicated service. Her contributions include long-standing membership in the Armenian Relief Cross of Lebanon (ARCL); representing the Armenian community on a women’s committee appointed by the President of Lebanon; serving on the Board of Trustees of the Armenian Sanatorium of Azounieh; and active involvement in various humanitarian and social initiatives. Mrs. Poladian has also been a frequent contributor to the Armenian press.

Mr. Razmig Poladian was awarded the “Knight of Cilicia” Insignia for his significant contributions to the Armenian community of San Francisco, particularly in his steadfast support of the Church and its educational and cultural programs.

The evening’s program included remarks by His Eminence Archbishop Kegham Khacherian, Prelate of the Western Prelacy of the Armenian Apostolic Church, and Mr. Rosdom Ayntablian, member of the Diocesan Central Committee.
