His Holiness Catholicos Aram I received a delegation led by U.S. Senator Nancy Pelosi, the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, on the afternoon of Saturday, November 8, 2025. Senator Anna Eshoo was also part of the delegation.
The meeting, which lasted over an hour, covered a wide range of issues concerning Armenia, Lebanon, the broader Middle East, and the Armenian-American community. His Holiness and Senator Pelosi discussed matters of mutual interest and the ongoing challenges facing the region.
His Holiness was accompanied by His Eminence Archbishop Kegham Khatcherian, Prelate of the Western Prelacy of the Armenian Apostolic Church; Mr. Rostom Ayntablian, a member of the Diocesan Central Committee; and Mr. Madteos Senekerimian, Chair of the Board of Trustees of St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Apostolic Church in San Francisco.
