
In a distinguished ceremony in Silicon Valley, His Holiness Catholicos Aram I conferred the prestigious “Saint Mesrob Mashdots” Insignia upon Dr. Yervant Zorian, in recognition of his lifetime of pioneering contributions to technology and education, and his steadfast dedication to the Armenian nation.
The event was graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Archbishop Kegham Khatcherian, Prelate of the Western Prelacy; Bishop Dajad Ashekian, Chancellor of the Catholicosate; Mr. Krikor Mahseredjian, Co-Chair of the Lay Assembly of the Central Council of the Catholicosate; Mr. Rosdom Aynteblian, a member of the Council, alongside clergy and community leaders from St. Gregory the Illuminator Church of San Francisco.
In his address, His Holiness praised Dr. Zorian for his profound scientific and educational legacy. He emphasized that Dr. Zorian’s illustrious career and enduring service to both Armenia and the Diaspora embody the very virtues for which the Insignia was established, making him a most worthy recipient of this high honor from the Catholicosate and the Armenian people.
In accepting the Insignia, Dr. Yervant Zorian conveyed his profound gratitude to His Holiness. He reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to continue serving the nation and the motherland with renewed dedication.
Dr. Zorian, born in Aleppo, is an internationally recognized leader in the technology sector. He is the founder of pivotal Synopsys programs operating in Silicon Valley and Armenia and currently serves as Vice President of the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU).
