
During his pontifical visit to the Western Prelacy, His Holiness Catholicos Aram I paid a visit to Ararat Home, a respected institution serving the Armenian community’s elderly in California.
His Holiness was welcomed by the Chair of the Executive Committee, Joseph Kanimian, Esq., along with members of the administration and staff. In his welcoming remarks, Mr. Kanimian expressed the community’s joy in once again receiving the Catholicos, noting that each visit inspires renewed dedication to Ararat Home’s mission of care and service.
Residents of the Home also extended their heartfelt greetings, expressing deep gratitude for the Catholicos’s spiritually uplifting visit. They conveyed their joy and admiration, offering best wishes for his health, longevity, and continued service on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of his election and consecration as Catholicos.
His Holiness conducted the Blessing of the Home service (Dnorehnek), offering prayers over bread, salt, and water. In his address, he praised the trustees, staff, and caregivers for their loving service, emphasizing that Ararat Home has always been a house of love, care, and Christian devotion, worthy of the respect and gratitude of the Armenian people.
The visit concluded with an agape in honor of His Holiness, reflecting a spirit of love and unity.
