The Pasadena Armenian Community Marks The 40th Anniversary Of Its Founding And The 20th Anniversary Of St. Sarkis Armenian Apostolic Church

On Saturday evening, December 6, 2025, under the auspices of H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian, Prelate of the Western Prelacy of the United States, the greater Pasadena Armenian community gathered in the ballroom of the Pasadena Hilton to mark two milestones, the 40th anniversary of the founding of its parish community and the 20th anniversary of St. Sarkis Armenian Apostolic Church. The gala was sponsored by Western Prelacy benefactors Mr. and Mrs. Sarkis and Nune Sepetjian and organized by Pastor Rev. Fr. Boghos Baltayan, together with the Board of Trustees and the Ladies’ Guild of St. Sarkis Armenian Apostolic Church.

Among those in attendance were H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian and H.E. Archbishop Torkom Donoyan, Chairman of the Executive Council of the Western Prelacy Mr. Vahe Hovaguimian and his wife, Mrs. Hasmig Hovaguimian, Central Executive Council member Mr. Gaidzag Zetlian and his wife, Mrs. Dzovig Zetlian, who also serves on the Executive Council of the Western Prelacy, Executive Council members Mr. Jack Hadjinian and Mr. Sarkis Tatikian, as well as family members, benefactors, friends, and guests. The evening brought together more than 400 attendees.

In his remarks, Archbishop Khacherian described the celebration as a commendable and successful gathering that reflected the unity of the Pasadena parish and its church family. The Prelate commended the parish pastor, the Board of Trustees, the Ladies’ Guild, the sponsoring couple, the organizers, the volunteers, and the generous donors for their dedication and service. Archbishop Khacherian also offered his pastoral guidance, encouraging continued organization and growth in the Pasadena community, as well as spiritual unity, and ongoing success of church programs.

Archbishop Khacherian concluded his remarks by extending his fatherly blessings and best wishes to all members of the Pasadena community, both present and absent.
