The Prelate Celebrates The Opening Of The New Academic Year At Levon And Hasmig Tavlian Preschool & Kindergarten

On Friday morning, August 22, 2025, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian, Prelate of the Western Prelacy of the United States, attended the opening ceremony of Levon and Hasmig Tavlian Preschool and Kindergarten in Pasadena. The Prelate was accompanied by Rev. Fr. Boghos Baltayan, Pastor of St. Sarkis Armenian Apostolic Church of Pasadena, and Mr. Ronnie Gharibian, member of the Western Prelacy Executive Council. In his remarks, the Prelate congratulated the administration, students, both returning and new, and their parents, noting that the children of the Western Prelacy Preschools bring light to their families, their school, and especially the community, as they represent the promise of a bright future.

Among those present at the opening ceremony were Pasadena City Councilmember Rick Cole, along with members of the local Board of Trustees, School Board, Board of Regents, and representatives of community organizations.

Following the ceremony, H.E. Archbishop Khacherian visited the newly purchased property adjacent to the preschool, familiarized himself with the their expansion plans and upcoming projects, offered guidance and bestowed his fatherly blessings and congratulations to the entire Tavlian Preschool and Kindergarten community, wishing the Armenian community of Pasadena continued success in their spiritual, national, educational, and cultural programs.
