By October 15, 2026No Comments

Under the auspices of the Prelates of the three North American Prelacies, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian, H.E. Archbishop Anoushavan Tanielian, and H.E. Archbishop Papken Tcharian, a two-day inter-prelacy clergy conference was held on October 6–7 at Holy Martyrs Armenian Apostolic Church, Encino, Los Angeles, on the occasion of the Feast of the Holy Translators.

In keeping with the proclamation of His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia, declaring 2026 as the “Year of Spiritual Renewal,” the principal theme of the conference was “Spiritual Renewal: A New Breath for Service.”

During the conference, participating clergy reflected on two central themes: “From Vision to Mission” and “The Church in the Face of Today’s Challenges.” Particular attention was given to the vision and strategies, the Church should adopt to revitalize spiritual life, as well as the practical steps it should take in addressing the impact of artificial intelligence on the lives of the younger generation. The clergy also discussed pastoral, liturgical, and disciplinary matters concerning the three Prelacies.

With a profound sense of appreciation, the clergy expressed their loyalty to His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, and their appreciation for his wise and courageous leadership amid the turbulent and challenging circumstances of the present world. They also reaffirmed their full cooperation and commitment to the continued success and advancement of the mission of the Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia.

In addition to the conference sessions, the clergy shared moments of prayer and spiritual reflection. In keeping with tradition, a special requiem service was held for the repose of the souls of clergy who had served within the three Prelacies and had entered eternal rest.

As part of the spiritually enriching gathering, the participants also enjoyed a cultural program presented by the students of Holy Martyrs Ferrahian Armenian School, on the occasion of the Cultural month.

The conference concluded with the “ Bahbanich- Protector” Prayer, the Pontifical Hymn, and the singing of “Cilicia.”
