On Thursday, October 1, 2026, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian, Prelate of the Western Prelacy, received Rev. Fr. Ghevont Kirazian, Pastor of Holy Archangels Armenian Apostolic Church of Crescenta Valley, accompanied by his son, Dr. Karekin Kirazian, and grandson, Arin Kirazian. They had come to receive the Prelate’s blessings prior to Arin’s departure for the Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia in Antelias.

Archbishop Khacherian offered words of encouragement and commended Arin, a third-generation Armenian of the Western Prelacy, for his decision to follow his inner calling and enroll in the Seminary of the Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia in Antelias, where he will pursue studies in preparation for spiritual service.

In his remarks, the Prelate also praised the successive generations of the Kirazian family, who have been known for their service and devotion to the Armenian Church and nation, from Aleppo to Armenia and the Western Prelacy of the United States. He reflected on a family legacy of service extending from the late Archpriest Fr. Karekin Kirazian of the Prelacy of Aleppo to his great-grandson, Arin.

Archbishop Khacherian expressed hope that the young Kirazian would serve as an inspiring example to a new generation of Armenian Americans and that the number of young people dedicating themselves to the service of the Armenian Church would continue to grow within the Western Prelacy.

Extending his best wishes and fatherly blessings to seminarian Arin Kirazian, the Prelate wished the devoted young man success and encouraged him, with strength of will and God’s guiding hand, to advance through the ranks of service within the Armenian Church.
