
As part of his official visits to dignitaries and institutions across the Western United States, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian, Prelate of the Western Prelacy of the United States, made his first visit to the Consulate General of the Republic of Armenia in Los Angeles on Friday, February 28, 2025, where he was welcomed by Consul General of Armenia Dr. Karen Israyelyan. Accompanying the Prelate were Dr. Kaloust Agopian, member of the Executive Council of the Western Prelacy, and Very Rev. Fr. Zareh Sarkissian, Dean of St. Mary’s Armenian Apostolic Church in Glendale.
During the meeting, discussions focused on strengthening the existing collaboration between the Western Prelacy and the Consulate General of the Republic of Armenia in Los Angeles, aiming to further support the Armenian people, homeland and communities, and to positively impact the lives of the Armenian people.
On this occasion, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian also toured the Consulate General’s various departments, met with staff members, and extended his heartfelt blessings and well wishes. As a gesture of appreciation, H.E. Archbishop Khacherian presented Consul General Dr. Karen Israyelyan with a book on the history of the Catholicosate of the Holy See of Cilicia and a commemorative glass plaque on behalf of the Western Prelacy, wishing him continued success in his mission.
