
On the evening of Monday, March 9, 2026, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian, Prelate of the Western Prelacy of the United States, accompanied by Rev. Fr. Arsen Kassabian and Rev. Fr. Ghevont Kirazian and, visited the Armenian Ecclesiastical Brotherhood Center on the occasion of the Great Lent season. The Prelate was welcomed by Brother Avo Kabakjouzian, Chairman of the Armenian Ecclesiastical Brotherhood, together with members of the board.
Following the evening service, Archbishop Khacherian delivered a spiritual message, placing particular emphasis on the 2026 proclamation of His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia, which calls upon Armenians throughout the Diaspora to renew and strengthen their spiritual life.
Reflecting on the meaning of the Great Lent season, the Prelate spoke about the transformative power of prayer in the purification and renewal of the human soul. He emphasized the importance of the period in the life of every Armenian Christian as a time of “returning to God and reconciliation with heaven.”
On behalf of the Brotherhood’s Board, Brother Avo Kabakjouzian expressed appreciation for the Prelate’s visit and provided an overview of the center’s activities, as well as its current and upcoming programs. Brother Kabakjouzian also expressed hope that during the Great Lenten season, the prayers offered from all corners of the world will contribute to the end of the destructive wars of our time and to the restoration of peace in the lives and souls of all humanity.
At the conclusion of the visit, Archbishop Khacherian conveyed his blessings and fatherly well wishes to the Brotherhood and its spiritual servants. The Prelate and his delegation then joined a dinner hosted by the Board.
