On the morning of Tuesday, April 8, 2025, the young students of the Levon and Hasmig Tavlian Armenian Preschool and Kindergarten of Pasadena paid a special visit to the Western Prelacy. They were accompanied by Dr. Garine Joukadarian, Director of the Preschool, along with their teachers and parents. The group was warmly welcomed by H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian, Prelate of the Western Prelacy of the United States.

In celebration of the approaching Holy Easter, the joyful children offered heartfelt prayers, sang songs, and recited poems with great enthusiasm, filling the hall of the Western Prelacy with the spiritually uplifting rhythms of renewal and new life. The students were accompanied on the piano by their music teacher, Ms. Maria Keshishian.

H.E. Archbishop Khacherian commended the students for their beautiful presentations of religious and national themes while emphasizing the vital role of Christian and Armenian education in nurturing the spiritual and intellectual growth of Armenian children. The Prelate expressed deep appreciation for the dedication of the teachers, who not only care for the students entrusted to them with love and devotion but also prepare them to become exemplary Armenian Christians of the future, instilling in them the Armenian spirit and cultural heritage. Archbishop Khacherian also praised the parents for entrusting their children to Armenian schools and educators, affirming their belief in the lasting value of the Armenian language and identity.

The children gifted the Prelate a hand-drawn illustration of Mount Ararat, lovingly created by the students themselves. Following the presentation, the students joined their parents in a collective prayer inside the St. Dertad and St. Ashkhen Chapel of the Western Prelacy.
