“Our Schools Are The Backbone Of Our Community,” Said The Prelate At The Holy Martyrs Ferrahian Armenian School Commencement Ceremony

On Saturday, May 31, 2025, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian, Prelate of the Western Prelacy of the United States, presided over the 12th grade commencement ceremony of Holy Martyrs Ferrahian Armenian High School in Encino and delivered a heartfelt message to the graduating class. Among those in attendance were Mr. Vahe Hovaguimian, Chairman of the Western Prelacy Executive Council, his wife, community leaders, members of the church and school family, parents, friends, benefactors, and guests.

In his remarks, H.E. Archbishop Khacherian emphasized the significant role Armenian schools play in our nation and community. The Prelate pointed out that each Armenian school is a unique place where younger generations are shaped with Armenian values and identity. H.E. Archbishop Khacherian stressed that Armenian schools raise young men and women who grow up deeply connected to their Armenian heritage and identity and, in turn, become the future leaders and the guiding light of our community. The Prelate concluded his message by saying, “Our Armenian schools are truly the backbone of our community.”

After expanding on this message, H.E. Archbishop Khacherian expressed his appreciation to the entire Holy Martyrs Ferrahian Armenian School family, offered his congratulations to the graduates and their parents, and then presented each student with their diploma.
