“Our Students Are The Dedicated Bearers Of Our Armenian Heritage And Identity” H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian

H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian, Prelate of the Western Prelacy of the United States, celebrated moments of joy and pride during the last weekend and with a heartfelt and sincere enthusiasm, graced the year-end graduation ceremonies of the Western Prelacy Armenian Schools and Preschools. The meticulously planned year-end graduation ceremonies and programs, were executed successfully brining immense joy and love to all in attendance including parents, teachers, relatives, friends and benefactors.

In his message during the year-end graduation ceremonies, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian emphasized the vital role that Western Prelacy Armenian Preschool, Kindergarten, Elementary, Middle School and High School students play, as dedicated bearers, in preserving our Armenian heritage and identity in various aspects of spirituality, nationality, and culture throughout their lives. In his address at each graduation ceremony, H.E. Archbishop Khacherian first conveyed his heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to the parents of Prelacy Armenian School students for the sacrifices they have made in order to send their children to an Armenian school, followed by recognition of the administrators and educators tasked with shaping the minds of future Armenian generations from an early age. At the conclusion of each graduation ceremony, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian extended his congratulations to the large number of graduating students, spanning from Kindergarten to 12th grade, and offered his well wishes and great success for their future goals and educational pursuits.

With a rigorous schedule spanning over three days, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian attended a series of year-end graduation ceremonies at various Western Prelacy Armenian Schools and Preschools, participating in graduation ceremonies for different grade levels, in the following sequence:

– On the evening of Friday, June 7, 2024, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian participated in the graduation ceremonies for the 6th and 8th grades at Vahan and Anoush Chamlian Armenian School in Glendale. H.E. Archbishop Khacherian was accompanied respectively by Mr. Sarkis Tatikian and Mr. Ara Shabanian, members of the Executive Council of the Western Prelacy of the United States.

– In the afternoon of Saturday, June 8, 2024, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian attended the year-end program of Levon and Hasmig Tavlian Armenian Preschool and Kindergarten in Pasadena. H.E. Archbishop Khacherian was accompanied by Mr. Sarkis Tatikian, Executive Council member of the Western Prelacy of the United States.

– On the morning of Sunday, June 9, 2024, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian attended the graduation ceremonies for the 8th and 12th grades of Armenian Mesrobian School in Pico Rivera. H.E. Archbishop Khacherian was accompanied by Mr. Jack Hadjinian, Executive Council member of the Western Prelacy of the United States.

– On the same day, Sunday, June 9, 2024, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian also paid a visit to Ron and Goharik Gabriel Preschool. Ms. Angin Iskajyan, Director of Ron and Goharik Gabriel Preschool, along with the Principal of Armenian Mesrobian School, and members of the School Board warmly welcomed H.E. Archbishop Khacherian. During his visit to the Preschool, H.E. Archbishop Khacherian was welcomed at the entrance by a few Preschool students dressed in traditional Armenian costumes. The Prelate then proceeded to tour the Preschool and familiarized himself with the Preschools educational program.

– On the afternoon of Sunday, June 9, 2024, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian participated in the graduation ceremony for the 12th grade students of Rose and Alex Pilibos Armenian School in Hollywood. H.E. Archbishop Khacherian was accompanied by Dr. Kaloust Agopian, Executive Council member of the Western Prelacy of the United States.
