In addition to addressing ongoing agenda items and tasks, the spiritual leaders specifically discussed several new agenda items. Among them were the organization of events in North American communities to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Enthronement of His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Holy See of Cilicia, the coordination of His Holiness Aram I’s upcoming Pontifical visit to the Western Prelacy of the United States, and the implementation of His Holiness Aram I’s proclamation declaring 2025 as the “Year of the Revitalization of Traditions.” The Prelates also addressed various social and moral concerns affecting Armenian communities, among other subjects.

On Wednesday, a morning service of Great Lent was held at St. Mary’s Armenian Apostolic Church in Glendale, presided over by the three Prelates. During the morning service, H.E. Archbishop Papken Tcharian delivered the spiritual message.

Later that afternoon, with the arrangement of H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian a luncheon was held with the Los Angeles clergy to mark the midpoint of Great Lent. Following a prayer service, the clergy shared and enjoyed traditional Lenten dishes and participated in an educational and informative discussion on religious and liturgical matters. Special attention was given to the urgent need for developing modern and contemporary religious textbooks for Armenian daily school students, with constructive suggestions and proposals offered regarding the textbooks.
