On Tuesday morning, October 21, 2025, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian, Prelate of the Western Prelacy of the United States, welcomed Rev. Dr. Paul Haidostian, Chairman of the Union of Armenian Evangelical Churches in the Near East in Lebanon, and President of Haigazian University. Rev. Dr. Haidostian is visiting Los Angeles to attend the council meeting of the Armenian Missionary Association of America (AMAA). Rev. Dr. Haidostian was accompanied by Dr. Hasmig Baran, member of the Board of Regents of Prelacy Armenian Schools and Los Angeles representative of Haigazian University.
H.E. Archbishop Khacherian warmly welcomed his longtime friend, Rev. Dr. Haidostian, and the two engaged in a friendly discussion about the current educational landscape in Lebanon, with particular attention to Haigazian University. They also spoke about the role of Armenian-Christian education in shaping the lives of Armenian youth and emphasized the need to promote Armenian education and values everywhere to help preserve a strong sense of Armenian identity.
