The Encino Community Celebrates The 62nd Anniversary Of Holy Martyrs Armenian Apsotolic Church

On the evening of Friday, October 10, 2025, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian, Prelate of the Western Prelacy of the United States, presided over the annual banquet of Holy Martyrs Armenian Apostolic Church in Encino, held this year in honor of the church’s 62nd anniversary. The banquet took place in the church’s “Khatoun Sarian” hall and was graciously hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Mike and Evelina Sarian.

Attendees included Mr. Vahe Hovaguimian, Chairman of the Executive Council of the Western Prelacy, Mr. Hovig Bedevian, member of the Executive Council, members of the church’s extended family, representatives of local and sister organizations, benefactors, and friends.

The evening began with an opening prayer and welcome address by Archpriest Fr. Razmig Khatchadourian, Pastor of Holy Martyrs Armenian Apostolic Church, followed by remarks from Mr. Harout Kamberian, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, who shared a heartfelt message with those in attendance.

In his address, H.E. Archbishop Khacherian emphasized that the annual celebration of the church’s anniversary is a meaningful reflection and clear testament of the community’s enduring connection to their church, grounded in faith and dedication to the nation. Speaking to those in attendance, the Prelate said, “A bond that is lasting and celebrated each year, devotion shown consistently, both are deeply valued and meaningful in the lives of our community members.”

In his remarks, Dr. Sarian, the host for the evening, expressed his appreciation and proposed renaming the courtyard in honor of his parents, calling it the “Yerchanig and Khatoun Sarian Courtyard.” Dr. Sarian also shared that he would be pleased to host next year’s banquet, marking the church’s 63rd anniversary.
