
On Sunday afternoon, January 18, 2026, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian, Prelate of the Western Prelacy of the United States, presided over the opening ceremony of the new Youth Center in Encino. The center was established through the generous contributions of Western Prelacy benefactors Mr. and Mrs. Sarkis and Suzan Kitsinian and proudly bears their name. Accompanied by the benefactor couple and Mr. Raffi Sarkissian, Chairman of the ACF–SFW, Archbishop Khacherian cut the red ribbon, marking the official opening of the youth center.
Among the guests in attendance were H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, former Prelate of the Western Prelacy, Archpriest Fr. Razmig Khatchadourian, Pastor of Holy Martyrs Armenian Apostolic Church, American and Armenian political figures and community officials, representatives of the Board of Trustees and affiliated bodies, members of national organizations and related associations, benefactors, friends, and guests.
In his remarks, Archbishop Khacherian highly praised the Kitsinian family for their longstanding commitment to the Church and the Armenian community, as well as the dedication and moral and financial support of community leaders and benefactors who continue to play an active role in preserving and strengthening Armenian identity. The Prelate congratulated all those who envisioned the establishment of the new center and helped bring it to life, and with words of blessing wished success to its mission for the continued growth and advancement of community life.
