On the morning of Friday, March 20, 2026, Rev. Dr. Krikor Youmshajekian, Executive Director of the Armenian Evangelical World Council (AEWC), visited the Western Prelacy Headquarters. Rev. Youmshajekian was accompanied by Rev. Henrik Shahnazarian, representing the Armenian Evangelical Union of North America, and Rev. Joseph Garabedian, Pastor of the Armenian Cilicia Evangelical Church of Pasadena.
H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian, Prelate of the Western Prelacy of the United States, warmly welcomed the guests and expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to reconnect with longtime colleagues in ministry. The Prelate also extended his congratulations to Rev. Youmshajekian on his recent appointment as Executive Director of the Armenian Evangelical World Council and on the occasion of his visit to Los Angeles from Australia.
During the meeting, the participants reflected on the moral, psychological, human, and social challenges confronting the Christian sister churches today. They emphasized the importance of spiritual education, particularly in preparing the younger generation through structured educational initiatives. The visit concluded with an exchange of well wishes and the shared hope of meeting again and continuing their dialogue in the near future.
