Under the leadership of H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian, Prelate of the Western Prelacy of the United States, the Executive Council of the Western Prelacy has embarked on a series of congratulatory visits to meet with the newly elected Board of Trustees of local parishes of the Western Prelacy. The purpose of these visits is to meet the newly elected Board of Trustee members, become acquainted with their programs and initiatives, and further strengthen collaboration between the spiritual and administrative leadership.
The first of these visits took place on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at St. Mary’s Armenian Apostolic Church of Glendale. H.E. Archbishop Khacherian, joined by the Executive Council and the Chancellor of the Western Prelacy, met with the church’s clergy, newly elected Board of Trustees, and local delegates over a fellowship dinner hosted by the Board of Trustees.
During the gathering, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian extended his congratulations to the newly elected Board of Trustee members, familiarized himself with the church’s ongoing and future projects, and provided guidance on upcoming religious and national celebrations and ceremonies. H.E. Archbishop Khacherian praised the strong bond between the church and its congregation, offering his blessings to the members of the entire church community. Mr. Vahe Hovaguimian, Chairman of the Executive Council of the Western Prelacy, encouraged the attendees to openly discuss their challenges and future plans, reaffirming the Executive Council’s commitment to supporting the parish as needed.
Continuing this initiative, on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, H.E. Archbishop Kegham Khacherian presided over a similar meeting and a fellowship dinner at Holy Cross Armenian Apostolic Cathedral in Montebello. The gathering was attended by the Executive Council of the Western Prelacy, the church’s clergy, the newly elected Board of Trustee members, and local delegates.
During a fellowship dinner, H.E. Archbishop Khacherian engaged with the participants, gaining insight into the community’s current state, challenges, ongoing activities, and future projects. The Prelate congratulated the newly elected Board of Trustee members and offered his fatherly guidance regarding the upcoming religious and national celebrations and ceremonies. H.E. Archbishop Khacherian also commended the Montebello community’s dedication and the activities of its national organizations, emphasizing the importance of revitalizing the church’s youth camp and efforts and programs to engage young members of the community. Executive Council members also contributed constructive suggestions, fostering a spirit of unity and collaboration. The evening concluded with H.E. Archbishop Khacherian’s fatherly blessings and well wishes for the continued success of the parish and its mission.
